I would like to remind everyone that the 15th annual Bob White Charity Classic will take place on Monday August 29, 2022, at the Pine Knot Golf and Country Club in Dorchester. There will be a shotgun start of 10:30 am sharp and the Local has four available spots for golfers.

We continued our fight for the Group of 11 on April 6 at Meadow Park. The job action was well attended by Local 302 members and other area locals. Everyone felt it was important to keep the pressure on leading into our arbitration on April 20.

We continue to watch in horror as Putin continues to viciously attack Ukraine however, he has underestimated the people of Ukraine.They have shown incredible strength and a determination to fight back against this unprovoked war. Unifor has donated a total of $150,000.00 to the Red Cross to assist with their humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.

Once again, we are seeing a surge in COVID-19 outbreaks throughout the province. According to the Ontario Health Coalition there are more than 4,000 patients with COVID-19 in hospitals throughout Ontario. 594 patients are in ICUs.
