General Membership Meeting

Pink Shirt Day
This Wednesday, February 26th, 2025, is Pink Shirt Day. It started in 2007 and is held on the last Wednesday of February each year to promote a future free from bullying. This year’s theme is “Let Kindness Grow” and is about cultivating a friendly, caring, and safe environment. On Pink Shirt Day, we remind each other of our pledge to not tolerate bullying anywhere; not in school, not at home, not in the community, and not online.
International Women’s Day
The Theme for International Women’s Day 2025 is “Accelerate Action”. At the current rate of progress, it will take until 2158 to achieve full gender parity, according to World Economic forum.
Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge gender equality. Collectively we can all accelerate action. International Women's Day (IWD) has been around for over a hundred years, as have many issues still impacting women's advancement. Since 1911, IWD has belonged to all who care about women's equality. Celebrate women's achievement. Raise awareness about discrimination. Take action to forge gender parity.
International Women’s Day Brunch
This year’s International Women’s Day Brunch will be held on March 8th, 2025, from 10:00am-2:00pm at Unifor Local 636, located at 126 Beale St, Woodstock, ON. If you are interested in attending, please call the office at (519) 951-0302. We have a few spots available. Note: this is a no lost time event.
Bargaining Update
Tentative: Group of 11 (Babcock Community Care, Cedarwood Village, Country Terrace, Craigholme, Delhi, Earl’s Court, Kensington Village, Maple Manor, Meadow Park, Middlesex Terrace, Trillium Villa); Tillsonburg Hospital and Alexandria Hospital.
